Appointments

I offer a free initial 15 minute phone consultation to find out more about what you are looking for and to answer any questions you may have - contact me here. From there, we can set up a first appointment together.

In our first session we will discuss more about what's bringing you to therapy at this time and what you are hoping to get out of the experience. You will also get more sense of how I work and have room to ask any further questions.

Subsequent sessions are generally 50 minutes or 75 minutes in length and we will meet one or more times weekly, depending on what is needed. Individuals usually prefer 50 minute sessions and couples often prefer 75 minute sessions to allow more time to share and explore. Once we decide to work together, your weekly time slot is reserved just for you.

I have found that the consistency of weekly sessions is necessary to allow us to get to know each other and to attend fully to what is bringing you to therapy.

I offer brief and longer-term therapy depending on what your presenting struggles are and what is needed.

Fees

Please contact me for current fees and availability.

Payment: I accept payments through IVY Pay (a secure payment platform for therapists). Clients can often use their Health Savings Account funds to cover psychotherapy as well.

Scheduling

Please call 510-545-2981 or email me to learn more and schedule an appointment.

I am in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Insurance

I am not in-network for any insurance panels currently.

However, I can provide you with a statement of services which you can submit to your insurance to seek partial reimbursement. Typically, PPO plans are able to reimburse some portion of out-of-network services and HMO plans are not.

If you are interested in receiving reimbursement you may want to call your insurance company and ask the following questions:

  • Are out-of-network providers of mental health services covered?

  • If so, what amount or percentage of sessions are covered and what, if any, deductible amount must be met first?

  • Is there a limit to the number of session that may be covered?

  • Is pre-authorization required?

  • What information do they require for reimbursement?

Cancellation Policy

I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel within 48 hours, you will be charged your regular fee for that week’s session.
